1. Elements of an Effective Safe Patient Handling Program:
This program provides an overview of 10 key elements recommended for an effective safe patient handling program. Highlights include gaining management support, risk assessment, policies and procedures, peer leader program and program evaluation. Attendees will leave with an understanding of the program basics needed for success.
2. Safe Patient Handling in Ancillary Areas:
This program provides an overview of patient handling relating to the radiology, rehabilitation services and labor & delivery environments. Healthcare trends will be reviewed including patient handling injury prevalence, associated costs, environmental risk factors, patient handling challenges and solutions. Attendees will obtain information on all types of equipment solutions to address the challenges in these 3 areas.
3. Safe Patient Handling in the Operating Room:
The program provides an overview of issues and solutions relating to patient handling in the operating room environment. Healthcare trends will be reviewed including patient handling injuries, environmental risk factors, and handling of bariatric patients. Attendees will leave with examples and strategies to start or improve an existing program.
